C.E.S.A.R
C.E.S.A.R - Recife Center for Advanced Studies and Systems, is a non profit center for innovation, a private enterprise associated with the Center for Informatics (CIn) of the Federal University of Pernambuco. A center for research, development and innovation in Information and Communication Technology for a host of international companies.
Most of C.E.S.A.R software engineers are internationally certified in Java as J2EE programmers, and J2EE web component developers - apart from other certifications such as Oracle OCP, IBM connectivity with J2EE, IBM Object Oriented Analysis, and PMP (Project Management Professional).
With an area dedicated exclusively to the study of new Communication and Information Technology applications in different market segments, C.E.S.A.R presents its clients with projects that promote the improvement of processes and products, resulting in higher quality, predictable deadlines, and lower prices to our customers.

With more than 10 new IT incubated companies, the C.E.S.A.R's Enterprise Factory, with an ISO 9001 certified incubation process, integrates its efforts to promote innovation and new opportunities to human capital developed in Federal University of Pernambuco.

Modulo Security Check-up Tool
The identification and assessment of risks in corporate environments is more than a simple technical procedure. It is a strategic concern for the government and the market, as well as for regulatory agencies and clients. Check-up Tool is the evolution of a tool that has been used by Modulo Security* in more than 800 projects over a five year period. Quickly and easily, the system provides structured risk assessment for technological assets (such as software and equipment) and non-technological assets (such as people, process and environments).
Its proprietary Risk Wizard technology enables you to automatically issue consolidated reports and charts for business executives, as well as detailed instructions to technicians on how to conduct assessents and solve each particular situation. Pipeway Engineering
PipeWay Engineering is the only company of the South Hemisphere, of entirely national production, that manufactures and operates oil and gas ducts inspection tools - called pigs - that verify stresses, strains and ovalizations anomalies, contributing to prevent emptyings that can cause ecological accidents. The decisive entrance in the market happened in 1998, when a group of researchers of Pontificia Catholic University of Rio De Janeiro (PUC-Rio), with use of the technology of the Center of Research and Development (Cenpes) of the Petrobras, introduced in the sector the tool for management of the integrity of ducts.
PipeWay was bred in a room of 30 square meters, in Gênesis Institute, as an incubated company. Today, PipeWay carries its projects in an area of 1.500 square meters, in São Cristóvão, Rio De Janeiro, carries its services in Brazil and almost all Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela), also supplying tools partners of world-wide performance.

Biobras rose from a start-up to become the world's fourth largest insulin producer.Between 1995 and 2000, shares of Biobras appreciated 1512%, the third highest share price appreciation of any company on the BOVESPA during that period. Biobras was also the best performing investment ever made by BNDESPAR, the investment arm of Brazil's National Economic Development Bank. Innovation at Unicamp
Unicamp - State University of Campinas (SP), between 2001 and 2003, established 527 accords and projects of partnership with public and private companies, that generated a prescription of about R$ 85,5 million. One of the prominences was the performance of the University in the Genoma Program. In this direction, it organized and co-ordinated the sequence of Xyllela fastidiosa bacteria causing the "plague of amarelinho", illness that affects 30% of the São Paulo orange groves. As consequence, researchers of the Unicamp had been pioneering in the formation of new companies of bioinformatics and applied genômica, between them the Scyla Bioinformática (http://www.scylla.com.br/) and the Alellyx Applied Genomics (http://www.alellyx.com.br/). Moreover, it possess 24 registered patents, being 22 national and two international ones. Instituted in middle of the 60´s, Unicamp was developed as a research university and today presents a profile of qualification of high level, in accordance with the national and international standards of qualification and university evaluation.Brazil has a relatively long history of science and technology, and the current leftist government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva continues to prioritize scientific and technological development in the country. Successes in the agricultural, energy and engineering (e.g., aeronautics) sectors reflect its scientific strength. Brazil's terrestrial biodiversity, with numerous diverse biomes including the Cerrado, Amazon rainforest, Pantanal wetlands, Caatinga region, and Araucaria and Atlantic forests, is also unrivaled in the South American continent and probably elsewhere.
